The Hutley Story
NEARLY A CENTURY OF MOVING FAMILIES
In 1929, Sam Hutley Sr. started something simple in Quincy, Florida: a moving company built on honest work, fair prices, and genuine care for every customer. He believed that moving was one of the most personal things a family goes through, and that a trustworthy mover made all the difference.
That belief has never changed. Nearly a century later, Hutley Van Systems is led by the third generation of the Hutley family — Derek Hutley as President, and Ta'mara Hutley carrying the legacy forward with the same values her great-grandfather instilled.
Today we operate out of five offices across Florida, Mississippi, and New York, with a nationwide agent network that lets us handle moves to any destination in the United States. But no matter how far we've grown, every move is still treated like it's personal — because to us, it is.
Our History
95+ YEARS IN THE MAKING
Sam Hutley Sr. founds Hutley Van Systems in Quincy, Florida.
Second generation takes over, expanding operations across Florida.
Operations grow to include long-distance moves and corporate relocation services.
Derek Hutley (grandson) assumes leadership as President. Offices open in Mississippi and New York.
Three generations strong. Derek and Ta'mara Hutley lead a team committed to the same values Sam Hutley built in 1929.
