August and January are the busiest moving weeks of the year for college towns. Spots fill up weeks in advance. If you know your move-in date, book as early as possible — especially if you need a specific time window to match your dorm assignment.
Fall Move-In
Late July through mid-August. The busiest period — book 4–6 weeks out.
Spring Semester
Early to mid-January. Less busy than fall but still competitive on weekends.
Summer Storage
