3. Label Every Box By Room
It sounds obvious, but label each box with the destination room AND a brief description of contents. Your movers will thank you — and so will your future self unpacking at midnight.
4. Disassemble Large Furniture First
Beds, desks, and large shelving units should be disassembled before moving day. Keep all hardware (screws, bolts) in a labeled zip-lock bag taped to the piece.
5. Protect Your Floors
